AUSSIE RULES STAR Zach Tuohy has flown home to Portlaoise to help the Laois champions in their Leinster SFC quarter-final this Sunday.

The Town take on the reigning All-Ireland champions at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise and will be able to call upon  the Carlton FC player for the game.

Tuohy says he is “delighted to be home” and to be available for his team as they look to avenge their defeat to the Dublin side in last year’s club final.

“Portlaoise were magnificent in the county final, winning it for the eighth time in a row. I hope to be able to contribute if called upon in the Leinster quarter-final and hopefully we’ll gain revenge for last year’s final loss.

“St. Vincent’s are a very strong team, worthy All Ireland champions, and this will be a very tough game for us, but we’re up for it and hopefully we can do well.”

Michael Killeen, Managing Director of Laois Hire says his company were only too happy to help.

“We have a long tradition of supporting the GAA and Portlaoise GAA Club in particular and we’re delighted to be able to assist in bringing Zach home for this important match.

“He’s a class act and a credit to his club and his family and we hope Portlaoise go on to greater success in Leinster and beyond.”
